@Wolfgang - vu@granby: There are grapes grown and they make a sweet wine locally, but the majority of the grapes are dried to make raisins in special beds that can be covered if the weather is wet. The main crop is olives and almonds on the hills with avocado, mango, oranges and lemons in the valley. These fruits have replaced sugar cane which used to be grown in great quantity.
