Geologically speaking, this countryside looks just like Southern California. Hmmm, come to think of it, from a distance, the hillside village could be mistaken for the Hollywood Hills...or, maybe not. ;o)

@Suzanne: Same kind of climate and they grow the same kind of things in the valley and on the lower slopes. Citrus fruit, avocado and mango.
