Plough and HarrowPosted by grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 15 December 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. This field is being ploughed for planting winter wheat. Interestingly the ploughman is doing two jobs at once as he is also harrowing at the same time. The harrow is to the left of the tractor and is dropped from a hitch on the side of the plough when he reaches the edge of the field. The tractor and plough turn round and as it passes the harrow, the plough hooks it on again so it is breaking down the just ploughed furrows.
