Gower Gorse 1

Back in the UK we travelled down to the Gower in South Wales for the weekend. I had hoped to get to the Worm's Head to get some pictures to contrast it with Sao Lourenco in Madeira but the tides couldn't have been more wrong. However the coastal path is spectacular at this time of year with bluebells, violets, the occasional early purple orchid and everywhere a carpet of gorse.

am I missing the bluebells? I only see yellow :)...but hey, I did not get a lot of sleep last night, maybe that is why? Still nice picture. Love the composition :)

@Marion: You are only missing them because they are not in the picture. Or if they are they are hiding behind the gorse, along with the violets and orchids

@dobbino: Nice and safe here though Rob. If you fall the gorse will catch you on its thousands of very sharp thorns

I can't think straight after reading that dialog about the bluebells . . hee hee .. but the colors in your image here are so vivid and refreshing. Lovely springtime shot.

A lovely capture of sunlight here Grouser. I love the sparkle on the sea and the yellow flowers of the gorse are an uplifting sight. The perspective from your high vantage point is very effective too. Gorgeous photo.
