Into the Big BluePosted by grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 5 November 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Down by Fuente Gorda (The Fat One) one of the springs that made Comares viable as a place to live despite being perched on the top of a limestone and granite outcrop. There was originally a fortified walkway from the spring up to the town above. The path still remains traversing the pillars seen on the right of the picture, with steps cut into the rock in places.
