This view is of the garden side of the west wing of the house. The thick undergrowth on the left of the picture is covering the edge of the remains of the formal garden.

@Observing: It is enormous but due to the thick undergrowth impossible to get a shot that gives a real indication of its size. We are talking on the scale of Chatsworth. I have gleaned a bit of backgound info which you can read if you click on the blog link below the picture. Not sure when and quite how it fell so far so fast but I think death duties had a part to play in its downfall. I took quite a lot of pictures and will post some more over the next few days.
