Poached Ground

Back to reality here in Shropshire with a picture to show the current state of affairs, before I post some shots from the autumn just passed. The lack of colour in this picture is true to life, though I have boosted the contrast somewhat. The muddy pool in the gateway is caused by a large herd of dairy cattle passing through twice daily on their way to milking. It's exacerbated by the tractor that comes behind chivvying them along. You can just make out the cows under the misty trees.
