These are tha last of the El Chorro pics for this visit. A couple of views from the hilltop above the Bobastro. Although not seen in these pictures, as it is behind me, there is a holding dam up here, a bizarre sight on top of a small mountain. At a guess, when there is surplus electricity generation from the hydro electric project below it is used to pump water up here as a form of energy storage. The ground was also covered with clumps of 'Barbary Nut' a small Iris that flowers for just one day, coming up as if by magic after rain. This was in January. I have never seen them in flower so early before.
