Looking the other way towards the east.
It's a wonderful place, every image you show makes me wishing go there. Very good colors and detail in this hard coast.

@Paco Díaz: I was captivated by the island myself. It had so much more to offer than I had expected
impressionnant point de vue !

Lovely view over these rocks, you must be on the edge

@P J W Miller: Yes the path was treacherously greasy in places, perking up the attention span no end.
Beautiful colors, i especially appreciate the foreground with these nice ferns*

I'm glad that you survived this shot and didn't have to sample hospital food, Grouser, and man oh man, it was worth the effort. A superb perspective

@EYES WIDE SHUT: I think if you fell there would be no need to worry about hospital food or accomodation
It's South Pacific....? I can almost hear the strains of Bali hai....!!
Wonderful shot mate !

what a view and what a clif !!! and it looks like you must've been very close to the edge??

@Roman: Yes I was. See note to PJW Miller above

I can feel my stomach turning a bit as I look at this because of the drop, but it doesn't detract from the beauty of the scene!

@dobbino: The whole island has this dramatic steepness. Although we live in a hill town in England, the countryside seemed really flat when we got back
just beautiful!! drop, foliage view and all!! i think you were born to be a landscape photographer!!

The steep cliffs make a very attractive coastline. I like how the trees are bent out toward the sea. Fine image.

Don't fall!!! Oh, come to think of it, I guess you made it. Whew. This view looks like it requires a tether, Grouster. Love it!

i love ferns. they have to have a perfect environment to survive. where i live, it's too cold in winter (they die back in the freeze) and it's too hot in the summer, and the earth is too dry. but in the woods, or near the sea where there is fog and shade and coolness, they thrive and look beautiful.

@Seraphine: We have them outdoors here in the UK. Several varieties and they are all hardy. Even tree ferns will survive if you wrap them up. Can you not create shade and mulch and water them well?
