Aqueduct

Down on the coast at Maro we take a walk that starts out on the old coast road and come to this wonderful 19th Century aqueduct that carried water to the local sugar mill. Sugar cane was big business down here until the bottom was knocked out of the market by cheap imports. A token amount is still grown, but scattered all along this coast are the remains of mills attesting to the collapse of the industry.
