Tracks on a frozen mill pond
Ohhh....beautyfull path to indicate me in this frozen morning where I have to go to get some blue light and higth texture, your path of today is like your everyday skies: esplendido y explosivo!
Thanks...this is a great morning :)

great shot, well spotted

Maybe they were walking backwards..... :0 I saw trails like this yesterday, but between each print were lines as if the foot was being dragged.

@Michael: Probably deeper snow. This was a thin blown layer on ice. If you look to the prints on the left you can see lines beginning to form where the middle toe is touching the slightly deeper snow.
Hey! Our pictures are similar today! What great minds we both must have! It is interesting to see these...one way it is a mysterious treasure hunt...the other simply birds getting on with their business. Well seen, well taken and of course so much better than mine!

Nice shot, very confusing, don't follow the arrows!

Roads in the snow, blue light! The birds are walking quietly without wearing shoes! I know these tracks in my country but birds wander through the warm beach sand and gold! A beautiful winter composition Grouse! greetings from the perfect temperature! Adela

Nice interesting shot ! (without any watermarks)
15 Jan 2010 11:36am
@Hiro: That's because it's frozen :)
On the more serious note watermarks are easy enough to clone out if you want to steal the picture enough unless they are so big or predominant that the picture becomes not worth looking at. I trust that people will respect my copyright and have the courtesy to ask if they want to use my work
Ah oui ... très drôle. Superbe idée.

Remonter les traces jusqu'au bout !
Bonne fin de semaine lumineuse et chaleureuse!
@thami: Tout à fait. Merci :)

Great idea! Love it. I wonder where they went to? Did you follow the trail? Another shot in the bird's-eye of view would be fun as a follow up. :)

@Marion: I think I might have ended up to my neck in frozen water if I had tried :)
Clever title. I like the crisp look of the foot prints. Nice shot.

Good find, must have been awfully cold that time of day too.
15 Jan 2010 4:10pm
Great capture . Did you think about BW ? It would be more effective , I think so :)
15 Jan 2010 5:14pm
@MARIANA: I did remove the colour but I preferred the blue as it conveys the cold better, so I put it back again, although I reduced the colour saturation of the original shot by quite a lot :)
Magical! I really love the colour you have ended up with here. "Blue with cold" takes on a whole new meaning with this. Love crisp shot as well.

Good evening, Grouser,
the presentation makes me think. There are probably running a lot of birds that are looking for food in deep snow. They recognized it carefully and gave it color, against natural and brilliant. I like the blue touch, too. If one looks closely, one finds many things. Hopefully the birds will not starve in the snow. >> Here is melted the snow, everything is gray.>> I wish you a wonderful evening and thank you very much for your always kind comments, even today, on my web page. I wish you continued success and joy with your images. Your blog, I am very happy to visit. I am sorry, sometime I forgot the little "r" in your name. Dear greetings Christel

@Christel: Der kleine "r" ist kein Problem. Danke. Ich habe nicht einmal Deutsch gelernt, nur ein Übersetzungs-Tool gefunden. :) I hope it's made a good job of it.
I take this photo in Nagaland, north east state of India near Bangladesh
