This brave plant clings to a crack in the concrete and even manages to flower in this urban desert
If you tried transplanting it to your garden it would die : ]

Well seen, Grouser. I've found that wherever there is a scrap of earth, there will be a plant that will take hold.

I always find it so cool when a plant or weed grows were it almost seems impossible to, cool textures also

good texture and processing

I remember seeing something similar in a cemetery! A wild flower had blossomed between the cement and the stone ... was impressive. Your image that evokes subtle presence. A flower between buildings! Superb image and thanks for the evocation grouser! Greetings, Adela

Well seen. These kind of plants always manage to grow on spots where you don't want them or don't expect them. Nice shot.

For some reason the colours and textures of the bricks are grabbing my attention more than little weed, I think the harmonising with the red board has something to do with it (also they remind me of a pizza oven that I recently did a five shot HDR with, coming soon.)

great capture...well spotted.

Oh this is so lovely..the reds of the door and bricks and the flower and the sign.. have I missed anything? I once saw a tree growing inside an old warehouse and coming out the window. ..now that was a sight. But I prefer seeing this well observed picture of yours. Brill!

I've seen this before where a seed will find a completely hostile place, and manage to survive. This looks a particularly 'posh' pad for a weed.

Une belle promesse de printemps! Le fond réchauffe l'atmosphère!
Bonne fin de semaine lumineuse et chaleureuse!

great textures and composition. The plant looks like some type of dandelion weed and those are certainly very resilient and can grow about everywhere. Great capture! :)

Oh! How lovely!

It was thoughtful for the council to offset the plaque for your compo and they even coordinated the color of the door with the hues in the brickwork! Nice urban shot with a parallel to tenacity in life, Grouser. The thistle isn't a plant you would choose for your garden but it certainly has pride of place here and provides a worthy element for your photo.
