Lovely picture; unusual to see a pipe running parallel to the beach..but it works well here leading the eye up to the pier. Great shot.

An extraordinary view of the beach with a pipe not too pretty! Too bad that is not covered with sand! An attractive texture in the sand and a delicious end to the small building and the coast! Great depth of field! Nice work!

Great tones and yes, a beautyfull play with lines, the diagonal/textural one to, between "your" clouds on the left and the beach one the right.

Good evening, Grouser,
the view is very interesting. The natural color reproduction like that. What is passed in the pipe? Wonderful evening for you and thank you for your nice comment. Dear greetings Christel

24 Feb 2010 8:14pm

@Christel: It's an old and I hope no longer used sewage pipe I think

vu@granby - Wolfgang from Granby, Canada

I agree, let's hope the pipe is obsolete... It does help for the perspective though! Very good composition!

I like it - especially the lighting and colors! It lets me hope for warmter weather....
Has winter vanished from Britain or do you still have some snow & cold left? We still have left-over snow and unfortunately it got colder again so the rest just won't melt.

This also is a nice one. You don`t try to hide the not so nice pipe but make it the theme of the foto. Very clever.
