Danger Caution

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 26 February 2010 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

At the top of the crumbling concrete steps to the beach, warnings of perils ahead, as we look across to the lighthouse again.

Those signs look like they could do with a bit of repair! Probably too unsafe for anyone to go there and do it :) Love your lead-in lines to the lighthouse.

condition of the sign is in keeping with the state of the pier...nicely done Grouser!

As dobbino, I like how the line in the left guiding our look to the Lighthouse. The contrast of colors between the first level and the bottom is great too.

The delapidation of the signs add to the drama of what they say. OK; I won't venture forth; I'll just sit back and admire the lovely view from where you stood. It's lovely to see - and I do like those rocks to the right!

@MrsAmber: Itching to get at them with your hammer? :)

hm, no trespassing....? That certainly makes my feet itch to go on,...just for a little bit... :)
Nice capture. Did you do some HDR processing or use a filter of some sort?

26 Feb 2010 12:38pm

@Marion: No you can go on. I came up the steps which lead down to the beach below. The danger spot is the causeway beyond the clump of rocks on the right that connects to the lighthouse. The land below sea level has a very shallow gradient and the tide comes in fast. (and) Yes it's a photoshop plug in.

Very nice composition. I like the rusted signs

As it is possible to collapse the beach? Well this is another matter. A very interesting photo with the foreground of the fence and the warnings of danger who dares to go ... better find another beach...

@ordinaryimages: You might be disappointed, those distressed signs are as good as it gets.Though I must admit I didn't try the race against the tide to the lighthouse.:)

I am surprised no-one has taken those signs for a collection - let me know if they come on the market !
