In winter the sand holds the water that much longer, making for glistening reflections
I like this blue toning, so subtle, but gives the sand an appearance of liquid silver!

The glow of the wet beach sand make a fine setting for your shot of these walkers. There is something so refreshing about walking on a beach. Very nice shot.

What a pleasure to stroll through this incredible beach tones and light! Reflected in the sand around. A dark black cloud, sky light and shadows of people walking on it. The textures are excellent! A metallic blue wonder of the wave breaking on the sand. Beautiful image! Greetings, Adela

....great title Grouser, as identification with this silhouette, I like the differents tones of the sky and its reflection, and the blue wave is an excellent compensation.

Good evening, Grouser,
the reproduction of the reflections are excellent. The blue line of the approaching waves in the background, enlivened the overall view. Wonderful evening and thank you for the comment. Dear greetings Christel

Well I never knew that about the sand in winter..and me a studier of such things! I'll remember it forever now; especially this picture and the title..a favourite tune on me and my girl friends - we used to sing it using hairbrushes for mikes all those years ago! Thanks for the memories..

@MrsAmber: Hairbrush mikes, a wonderfully evocative phrase. I can see you now
Did a walk on Kenfig Sands on Friday. Exactly like above. Nice observation. The sand always looks great when the tide has gone out. The water stays there until the tide comes back in.

I believe your edit is more beautiful than the scene. That stripe of blue surf sets it off. best...jerry
