very good image, the buildings gice a good focal point

the docks look ominous and dark. or maybe it's the beautiful clouds.
it it odd that something ominous and dark should be so beautiful?

Is that a lighthouse? I think its too small
28 Jul 2010 6:05am
@MK: No it's a tower block and much bigger than a lighthouse :0
Wow...a great composition with a fabulously dark mood...wonderful detail, depth and tones...well done!

So where is Pam? I thought from the title...Maybe she's on the pic tomorrow...Lovely shot, sir

@CElliottUK: Right behind me :)
The tide was out! Splendid textures left in the sand! Impressive image with a great view! A great balance of light and shadow in the sky and the sand! A place that seems lonely. I feel a certain anxiety something like the loneliness ... magnified image that leaves nothing indifferent and that moves the spirit! Grouser friend a hug! Best regards, Adela

Great reflection on wet sand!

I like the feeling a lot here, Grouser, the grit in the foreground, so palpable i wanna walk barefoot, the horizon, the sky - a superb painting you did here with you lens-brush*

This is a stunning image.

A beautiful dark landscape, with just a hint of civilization, great image.
28 Jul 2010 10:32am
I adore the solitary look...it whispers to me :)

An impressive image of the bay. I like how the mild reflection of the shore brightens the image. Tiny distant buildings help give the shot an immense feel.

I agree with CElliottUK, where is Pam? She was in Montreal last week to participate in the "Just for loughs" festival as a stand-up comedian.. Among other things she said she's not a sex symbol! ;-)

@vu@granby - Wolfgang: Demonstrating her intellectual side perhaps:)
Wow, I love this image. The light over the water, the rocks and stones giving such great texture beneath that beautiful sky. I love the barely seen city in the distance with those mountains. Just beautiful!

Aha !! "Swansea bay" that´s why I can´t see the Hoff and Pammy !!!
It´s a blinder of a shot though even without any red bathing suits !!
28 Jul 2010 3:15pm
I can't imagine the Swansea Jacks running around in orange speedo's...But it would make your shot even better than it is. ;>)

Very interesting dark sands

Interesting looking place Grouser, seems it has the same sort of terrain as Morcambe Bay.

Shooting into the light with those dark clouds above creates a tremendous moodiness; somewhat lonely and a bit bleak, but it's a superb shot because of that.

Good evening Grouser,
the slight silver shimmer on the bay, harmonized beautifully with the colors of the sky. The wide view over the bay like it very much. Colors and details are excellent in reproduction. Have a nice evening and all the best. Dear greetings Christel
