Not a lot more I can say about this one really, except to challenge you to spot the Bull :)
No bull, just a great shot(!) I hope you didn't have to wait to long to get past these ladies. Looks like a lovely dappled day

@CElliottUK: I was walking and had gone out specifically to get some pictures of them so was quite happy to just stroll along behind:)

Forced stop the car! An unexpected pleasure! The pleasure of an interesting picture by chance! One point of view very low and a distant prospect? Many cows in the foreground with their udders full of milk or ready to be milked and the final cabezilla hung with bells of the neck leading the flock to your destination! Very good grouser! Best regards, Adela

That's holidays, cows deserve too, but many people on their road too it seems ;)) Cool busy frame.

@Lorraine: You get points and you know what points mean? Well spotted. He's a Hereford Bull.
The bull... that would be the one without the udders, right? Really, can you imagine goggling at the cows, people might think you were a bit, weird, y'know...
Gender uncertainty aside, this image is fabulous. I love this line of cows wandering off into the distance. Interesting subject, well composed, and lovely sunny light -- wonderful!

This is a great capture! They sure look ready to be milked. Did you shoot that around your home area?
9 Aug 2010 12:40pm
@Marion: Hi Marion long time no see.
Yes just up the road from here. They go down to the milking parlour every afternoon at about 3.30
A fine shot of this very large herd of milk cows. I like this "on their way" view from behind.

Oh, Grouser, this is a moo-ving image. ;-)
Love the long line of cows leading into the distance. An artful shot.
Odd that with so many cows in the herd we don't see any tell-tail sign of 'debris.'
