A finger of light

this is Alberquillas beach just east of Maro. The thing that looks like a sea-stack up on the right of the picture is actually the remains of a beacon tower. The rest is at the foot of the small cliff, erosion having taken its toll. These heavily fortified beacon towers dot this coast on every prominent point and most are still largely intact.
