Wily Strangers

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 30 November 2010 in Documentary & Street.

Suitably ST I trust. We had already met several Wily Men on the relatively short walk from the hotel. One posing as a school teacher had told us the Grand palace was shut for a special service and another that we would be uable to get in as I was wearing shorts. Despite this sign outside the entrance 'Wily Men were leaping on tourists being dropped at the front entrance by taxi and Tuk Tuk and trying to lure them down the road.
I am now back with an enormous number of pictures to sort through and a lot of catching up to do. Will get to you ASAP.

Welcome back to the un-wily world ! I assure you little changed here on Tuesdays or any other recognized day before 3:30pm.

Now, as it happens, I think cullottes are the ugliest form of female attire on the planet, but why ban them? Maybe wily women wear them!

@CElliottUK: Baggy trousers with a dropped crutch below the knee outdo them for me on the fashion faux pas listings. Sh*t-bag pants is an adequate description I think :0

Thea from Leeuwarden, Netherlands

Welcome back grouser! Right with your nose into the snow?
Interesting what you show here..not easy to get in it seems..
(I am afraid I don't understand the clue of the joke, but alléz:))

@Thea: It's a bit 'English' I suppose. The word wily is somewhat archaic and would only be used over here by ancient pedants such as myself :)

Curly from South Shields, United Kingdom

Had me going quite well till the wile-e-coyote comment. Love the dress code though, but why
tell me, if they want the trailer trash to visit their "palace", they can't let the trailer trash "trash"
up the ante, with appropriate trailer trash attire? A superb sign there grouser. Wonderful capture.

Good evening Grouser,
I am glad you are back. I missed you and your pictures. In between I looked at the photo that you left us a few weeks. I enjoyed the sight, again and again. The current picture is very entertaining.
