The Nagi

Posted by

The next day we cross to Laos We were met in Chiang Rai by Adisak Star. He's a very nice man with whom Mrs G had booked a two day cruise down the Mekong to Luang Prabang. He gets us through the border control and then to the Nagi where he hands us over. She's a beautiful boat with aircraft style seating for twenty. As it happens there are just eight of us as passengers, myself and my three women companions plus two Australian couples, together with the captain, crew (wife and daughter?) and our minder Ki, so we have plenty of room. Mrs G has briefed Adisak that it's my birthday so at lunch a lurid but delicious cake, smuggled on board by Ki and courtesy of Adisak I suspect, appears, just a few candles short of my age:) For another pic and a bit more info click here

The picture shows the Nagi (the closest of the two boats) from one of the stop off points on the journey
