Kuang Si

We take a Song Thaw (a type of pick up truck with a metal cage and basic bench seats on the back for from five to nine passengers used for journeys too long for Tuk Tuks) 32 k south of Luang Prabang. There is also a bear sanctuary here for animals that have been rescued from being used for Chinese medicine which prizes an extract from the gall bladders of these unfortunate animals. This is limestone country and the falls and surrounding woods are quite spectacular.
