Bamboozled again

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 14 January 2011 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is a bamboo bridge being built over a tributary of the Mekong in Luang Prabang. Bridges like this are built every year at the end of the rainy season and are swept away when the rains come again.
Apologies for the fact that I have pre posted this and the next set of pictures in advance and I may be unable to visit you for a while, due to tenuous, slow or non existent internet. I would not normally post pictures if I can't visit you and my only excuse is that I would like to complete telling the story of the South East Asia trip and if I don't keep posting we will never get through it
