So we bid farewell to the fantastic Angkor temple complex with this detail shot of one of the faces of the rows of men on the balustrade at the south gate. They are pulling the snake Naga that Vishnu used to churn the ocean of milk to make the elixir of the gods. Interestingly this Hindu detail has been carried over into the entrances of Buddhist Wats in the area.
