Hilario Fiesta

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 2 June 2011 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Back in Comares we arrived in January the day before the fiesta of Saint Hilario. The day dawns fine and after a long church service the saint goes on walkabout down to the town square. Here he is leaving the church in a shower of party poppers:)
Saint Hilario is the patron saint of the village although there is no discernible connection. He was French and had never been here.
Sorry if I don't get to you for a few days. I may be beyond the reach of the internet. I'm still far behind and the next pictures are posted in advance.
