Some of the massive stone slabs used to construct the walls. They were dragged to the site on rollers and levered upright into trenches with the aid of earth ramps which were then removed. The size and ambition of the undertaking is breathtaking especially given the limited technology available to them. Someone with imagination and vision to inspire the undertaking was an essential requirement too. Certainly built to last:)
