.. of a birds eye view
<Off Topic> Just going back to the conversation over the last few days..
I had to learn very early on in my consultancy career to do the counter-intuitive..DON'T Add value, DON'T do it the "Better" way-do it the way the client expects it, DON'T do it because it's interesting / groundbreaking for me-do it because the client pays for it.
All sad stuff when you think about it..
God knows how you do that in the artistic world. At least I've got a brief that I can constantly refer to / argue over.
There is never a gold standard that can be referred to in the artistic world, so how folk make money out of art, when it's as much about reading the mind of a client who can't/won't talk is beyond me.

@CElliottUK: Probably beyond me too Chris, hence I have a house crammed full of pictures and sculpture. The only time I made proper money was working to commission. However the pleasure I get from the work and 'doing my own thing' is a huge reward that far outweighs the lack of sales. I'm now working quite small scale, which is just as time consuming, but the end product takes up far less space:)
A wonderful thought for a sphere flying free ... I like to express my feelings when I work, when I paint a picture, when I photograph ... I do not for anyone in particular ... or for complacency ... just live the moment ... I take every minute of my life ... for me is enough ... Living is a pleasure, to feel alive here, anywhere the wind takes us ... as your balloon full of color today ... Thanks you very much! A hug, Adela

That's about as good as it gets, was this a local shot Grouser? Never see balloons up here.

@Curly: Yes they fly over quite regularly at dawn and dusk on calm evenings. It's the roar of the gas doing a burn that usually alerts you to their presence.
Nice shot, I like the colours you can capture shooting these guys.

cool perspective...good to see them up and flying as they seem more and more to be expensive sideshows for festivals.

Fantastic POV grouser - don't think I've ever seen a photo of a hot-air balloon from this angle before.
