A second bite

Posted by

Coming down the other side of the Tor. The walk has taken rather longer than anticipated and we are being overtaken by the night.

Starting to look a bit eery as the light fades, must be a very strange view in the dark.

The beautiful stillness of nothingness. A wonderful quiet feel to this - especially as the night takes over.

Nice job of shooting to retain some detail in the darkest parts of the picture. It makes a fine skyline item.

How peaceful with the herd not paying any attention to you as they dot the hillside.

One that I would like to see is Hay Tor, a granite tor on Dartmoor in the English county of Devon. My Hayter g-g-g-grandfather came from Shaftesbury, Dorset, and I've read there is a connection between Haytor and Hayter.

Love this shot with the fading light and the path winding toward the top. Excellent composition.

I really like this image . . the gathering darkness under the still-blue sky gives it a kinda time-lock feeling.
