Garajonay

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 22 April 2012 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This is taken from the highest point on the island in the middle of the Garajonay national park. The day we chose to go up there was the only day during our stay when it was not veiled with cloud. The rain forest is composed of big Laurel trees and giant heath (heather gone mad) which is what you can see in the foreground.
I apologise in advance if I don't get to comment very much over the next couple of weeks but I will visit when I can.

I like the dense and rugged looking forest. Those knobby hills/mountains in the distance look very unusual to me. A very good landscape image.
