The strange colour in the water is caused by collodial iron dissolved from the metal rich rock of the moor
Umm, it's "Colloidal". Sad that I know that, but I did Colloidal Crystallography as a special Chemistry project when I was at school. Anyway, 'nuff of all this kvetching, it is indeed an interseting shot, lovin' the heather that would thrive in that environment

Here there is not much to see of the water cause of the reflection, but I have seen this interesting effect in other places ... Nice shot !! The colors and light are really great
