If I'm correct I think this type of kin had the raw materials loaded in from the top, often brought by rail.

@Curly: I was standing on the railway track to take this shot. So Iḿ sure it brought the mined material there and then took it away again when it was reduced.
Shaun the Sheep does get himself into some silly situations!
