a closer view
I once had stockings like this but lost the matching purse. Actually...a very good shot of a difficult subject. best…jf

@ordinaryimages: yes a nice variation on the traditional fishnet :)
Excellent close-up angle. Radical modern architecture. The interlocking mesh is no doubt symbolic of the information age!

Must surely be shortlisted for the most appalling building ever. I believe it is to be cooled using pumped groundwater - I pray for early and terminal rust.

@Ronnie 2¢: I quite like it myself, though cleaning the windows might be a bit of a problem :)
I makes a superb abstract image, but as someone who spent my early years in Brum all I can say is I'm glad I left !

Looks better close up.

Ahh.. they were Penny-farthing bikes or maybe train rims with lots of little bogies.

Ah yes, a closer look...I told you it was the wrapping paper!! Nice graphic abstract image...and I still quite like the building too!

Two interesting shots, the decoration all looks pretty elaborate.

I can't imagine what that looks like from inside, looking out...its quite crazy!!

A very complicated piece of architecture,I bet the builders had fun putting this up.
A splendid framing !
31 Jan 2013 11:01am
Ah, so it is architectural detail - that's an extremely bold design.

Sehr gute Detailaufnahme.

A close up very interesting of the texture that covers the frontage. The framing is superb and a very original architecture.
Have a good day.

You make a salient point about window washing ! Great detail and framing for this close-up. Definitely not my cup of tea, and it reminds me of the hideous contemporary addition that was crashed into (that's what it looks like) our once stately Royal Ontario Museum. Oh well, opinions are as plentiful as the rings on this building, and they go round and round and round...

Very beautiful... Nice shot! Best regards, Adela

Beat that pigeons!!

Aren't these above comments just as interesting? The pattern of circles within circles is ancient symbolism for infinity and were seen it in a crop circle and Mandalas that old nobody knows how old. I still think that chain mail is take on it. Stockings, Bicycle wheels & bogies are brilliant takes. You should forward this page to the builders for a lark. :-}

But getting past all joking, this is a splendid photo and I'm giving you 5 bike wheels. :-D

Gorgeous outside of the building very contemporary.

You're selection has created a fine geometric image of shapes and lines I find very interesting.

Does it pick up Sky TV?

@CElliottUK: a dishy idea. Not a dingo in sight I hope :)

I love this one! Those shapes and patterns with the play of light and shadows are amazing.
31 Jan 2013 6:50pm
Very nice close up

I don't know why but the shapes reminds me of the Olympics rings. Close up it is beautiful! A lot of work went into this! I hope there is money left to buy books!
