Looks like an Escher, powered by water coming down the hill? if so why the wheel at all? So many q's. PS you didn't comment on my spelling.

@Brockaly: No the wheel is lifting water up to the acequia from the river for irrigation. resigned on the spelling :)
Beautiful scenery, well composed (but colors are a bit strange ?).
