Wildernest

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 10 September 2013 in Architecture.

The cabin we stayed in at Toba. Only tenuously ST is the ingenious mobile fireplace in the foreground made of a washing machine drum welded to a lawn mower chassis. It worked very well and kept the swarms of mosquitoes at bay in the evening.

I'm sure you could arm yourself with some wire cutters and purloin a piece of fence to place over the top of it - instant barbecue!!

Beautiful ! I would say the drum must be very hot in metal but if it is only for the mosquitoes , no problem !

What a lovely cabin! It just looks so inviting. The fireplace is definitely unique but if it worked, I guess that's all that counts! Happy ST!
