@Curly: It was originally called Chinaman, but the named was changed apparently because of PC concerns. However there seems to be no such problem with Whiteman Pass where I was standing to take this picture :) Hai Ling is more appropriate in a way as that is the name of the person first accredited with climbing it. Although I can't find any direct information I suspect Hai Ling was one of the many Chinese immigrants working on the trans Canada railway.

@J.R.: Would have liked to but not enough time. We went up Lady MacDonald which was closer to where we were staying. Pictures of that to come.
