Tout Quarry Revisited 2

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 22 December 2013 in Art & Design.

More of the quarry sculpture. 'Falling Man' on the left is an early Antony Gormley. Mrs G sits on a stone pouffe and warms her hands in the fireplace which is sadly looking a little worse for wear, probably because someone tried actually using it :0

Wierd art, the falling man of a cliff, pushed or jumped:) Interesting place and if you had some marshmellows that fire would be good:)

Brilliant shot and wonderful series Grouser! I read about this wonderful quarry and have discovered it is not far from where I will be visiting in Devon next year. When is the best time to visit this park? Excellent series.

@Frances: When it's sunny, which given it's the UK is a fairly random time :)

QUite a contrast in tones in these two. Love the ruggedness.

Fine sits of these sculptures. It's amazing to contemplate how they carved the upside down man in this location.
