I couldn't quite work out why these trees are bandaged? They are fairly remote from the path :)
Those yarn bombers get everywhere . . there'll be a thread to this somewhere on a Tuesday.

@Devi: Our climate is much too cold for rubber trees I'm afraid
Perhaps it is a masterpiece of an accomplice nature artist! Best, Adela

Beautiful image. All I can think is that perhaps it is some sort of research project to study insect infestations or the like.

A great capture of this foreST of trees with the verdant ground cover!! It may have been to protect the trees from sun scald.
28 Jul 2015 6:30pm
@Steven: Interesting, I had never heard of this so clicked on your link. However this is fairly shady woodland and the wrapping used was quite thick webbing like material. Also the trees are planted quite closely together and in this fairly large plantation there were only about half a dozen wrapped trees.
It's a well known Druid healing ceremony that I'm not allowed to tell you about . ;>x

Might be its kind of bandage so the trees are growing straight ---- like they do nowadays with the teeth of kids getting some caging around them !!!!! Or might be, they are sorted out for cutting - might be l0 cm out of whack !!!!! or protect them in winter from getting the flu ---- or might be they have kind of allergy against human beings ---- might be healing medication from loosing a branch .......... .......... let your imagination work, grouser = might be nesting of seagulls ........ On that note ---have a Good Night's sleep MN

Gorgeous color! Those are big band-aids! Maybe some big thing is lurking in woods and did damage to the trees! Happy ST!
