La Tienda

Posted by

After our trip up La Fortaliza we drive to a nearby village for lunch in a restaurant that serves local cuisine. There is only a single set menu of vegetarian food and diners are seated at large communal tables. The restaurant owner is an old lady who comes round gently saying 'Tranquillo' over and over again. This is necessary as the food and drink seems to arrive in a somewhat random fashion. However when it does come it is both interesting and delicious. She originally opened as the village shop and the old shop is still retained as a reminder of the place's roots
