Harlequin

Posted by grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 7 January 2017 in Animal & Insect.

One sunny Autumn day there was suddenly a swarm of these flying around the front of the house and getting entangled in my face and hair. Sadly this is not the indigenous ladybird, but a voracious invader, the Harlequin, which is displacing the less aggressive native species.
