San Hilario 1

Posted by
grouser (Ludlow, United Kingdom) on 2 March 2017 in Lifestyle & Culture.

We arrive in Comares in time for the fiesta for Saint Hilario., the patron saint of the village, though as he comes from Poitiers and there is no evidence that he ever came to this part of the world I'm not sure why. Perhaps it is because his day is the earliest of the season giving Comares the first festival of the year. Anyway here he is on the start of his annual January walkabout
