Thanks again for the Day's education! Must confess I hadn't heard of these before and had absolutely no idea of the original project. I found this website to be most informative. Fascinating!

Nice slow shutter. Odd they say this is the first time in UK for the Warriors as we saw them years ago in Lunun ( where I am stuck today - visiting Mr Speaker)

Oh yeh….this army is so beautiful.
And in a museum often more beautiful exhibited than in their mass grave
I saw them in China/Xiàn

One of the more fascinating historical finds, and how cool to endure propaganda and get a clean interior capture like this.

I saw a similar exhibit in Washington DC a few years ago. It was pretty amazing. A fabulous image.

Excellent image. There were hundreds of them discovered so nice they are being exhibited around the world.( I bet you really enjoyed the film.)

@Shaun: It was hideous with several different images at the same time partitioned in geodesic shapes on an enormous screen that we were seated quite close to. Worst of all it was compulsory in order to get into the exhibition. However there was an upside in that it divided visitors into small clumps, hence enabling me to get this introductory shot when everyone else had left the room :)
I remember an interesting exhibition of terracotta soldiers in Barcelona. Awesome!

I was able to visit the site of the Terracotta Warriors when I was in China in 2001. (Sadly only with film cameras, not digital.) It was like visiting the Grand Canyon in the US - seeing photos of it my whole life, but to see the actual thing is AMAZING! The history, the story was overwhelming, the pits full of so many warriors, each one different.
what a fine capture

Great capture under such warm light! Sorry to hear about the film you had to endure.

@Steven: In a way it was a good insight into a country shooting itself in the foot :)
