Mrs G examines one of the fantastic embroideries in an exhibition in the Botanical Gardens. The embroideries are by Fransisca Artigues who has been making these for over twenty years. The designs are from drawings made by her son Miquel. He says "My mother and I always have this thread that ties us together" She was inspired to embroider his watercolours and their partnership developed. All the works she makes serve a function too although it seems far too risky to use this for anything other than a wall hanging.
