At the end of the walk we reach a huge abandoned Farmhouse with a great walled courtyard. It was an innovative place in its day with extensive barns, gardens and orchards, but no longer

A shame to see a place like this abandoned. I bet it once looked great.

@Shaun: Now a part of the tank range with just one of the buildings with a roof on it and in use from time to time. In its heyday it had walled gardens and extensive orchards, now all gone

It's like a moment frozen in time on what was! I love how this tree towers above and fills the frame.

What’s left is very interesting. A good example of the decay over years.

Now if those walls could talk, I imagine they could tell us a lot of history.

A beautiful image. The walls that are left look so intricate. You can even see beyond the outside wall and get an idea of how extensive this place was. I would love to have seen it when it was at it's prime.

Just a glimpse of what it once was and now nature is reclaiming the ruins and creating an interesting combination of elements. Great detail and tones.
