I'm a trifle unsure about the identity of this lovely little plant, but after combing the wildflower book and the internet suspect that it is sea rocket

Could been Phylliopsis hillieri. Pretty find at the rocks there.

@Ralf Kesper: I'm pretty sure this is a native wildflower though having said that I have combed my wildflower book without success. Further searching suggests it is sea rocket. My best guess so far

@Devi: Always good to identify a plant and its properties. After all you wouldn't want to eat the wrong leaves, berries or any other bits come to that :)

A gorgeous image. I love all of the different colors from the purple flowers and the yellow lichen and the grass. Wonderful textures. It is nature's art.

i rarely know the proper names, but i love the contrasting lichen
