Made striking by its sheer scale, this is part of a series of sculptures by Hirst that are somewhat derivative in my opinion, as anyone who has seen the sectional models of the human body in their school biology classes will remember
I prefer my today reality !

Gosh..a bit shocking too..despite the depiction of anatomy....despite the talent...skill...and great creativity...
The piece if my cranium has crawled back into my head....:(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

@Devi: I think the creative idea was not really his but whoever pioneered the anatomical models of the human body, as I mention above. Its impact entirely relates to its siting and size, which are quite powerful.
Wow...Great framing but for me it’s shocking out there like that ( maybe that was the artist’s goal )...

@Mhelene: I think so. It is not listed on the sculpture park map, so people come upon it by chance
An incredible sculpture which provides great depiction! Its size is impressive.

@B. Thomas: Not surprising when there are so many to choose from :)
seems odd to find them displayed so large and outdoors

I noticed this in the distance in your post from yesterday and was curious as to what it was. This very large sculpture is perfectly proportioned which I would think would be a difficult feat to accomplish. It is definitely unique.

@Elaine Hancock: He has teams of assistants to do all that sort of stuff for him :)
I agree that is sees more of an anatomy lesson than a work of art
