We go for a walk in the morning before the last lap of the drive home, taking an old Roman footpath up on to Stanage Edge, a popular climbing spot

@Ronnie 2¢: only natural ones, though they do form a long line and the central path to the top is a switchback, easily defensible and perfect for an ambush

A beautiful view of this Edge with the precariously perched boulders! I guess being there for so long doesn't make them precariously perched, but it looks like it. A nicely-layered sky as well.
